4 lb. chuck roast
6 cloves garlic
1 can coke
1 can beef broth
1 can french onion soup
6 French Rolls or deli rolls
2 Tbs. butter
Cut slits in roast and insert cloves of garlic. Place roast in crockpot and pour can of coke, soup and broth in. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. When done, shred beef on a plate, strain broth into a bowl. Slice open rolls, butter inside and heat in 350 degree oven for 5 min. or until warm and butter is melted. Place meat into rolls, and pour broth into individual bowls for dipping.I just hold on tighter, to a hand that's stronger...he knows my every thought, he clears my weary heart, and hold's on tighter...

Re: chuck roast vs shoulder roast
when aunt cousin julie was here two weeks ago, we swapped recipe books. she had alot of gramma's i didn't have. and vice versa.
we scribbled all afternoon.
I wrote mine down on index cards. this inspired me.
the last two weeks i have been putting my recipe book together, all hand written. i think hand written recipes are the best. we giggle at the ones my wrote out when they were just getting their grove on their hand writing it's so cute.
I bought a 200 page photo album. put the 4 x6 index cards in it, it's turned out really cool. kids wrote some, julie wrote some, i had a bunch on the computer i copied them down, I have 140 in there now, i may need another book.
if that wasn't enough, i have cleaned up my mess of recipes for freezer cooking. those are all seperate, therefore some are written twice, freezer ones are printed and put in a fun 3 ring binder. I need protective sleeves, and i need tabs.
but, i'm gathering and organizng my recipes. it's looking really cool, and i am so excited to have the hand written ones.I just hold on tighter, to a hand that's stronger...he knows my every thought, he clears my weary heart, and hold's on tighter...
