Do you keep your butter refrigerated?

I don't. And I now have a yucky plate of melted butter sitting on my kitchen counter. It was 103 degrees yesterday, and, I swear, it's 150 degrees in my apartment.

I want to but DH said no. We keep our house at 73 degrees in the summer so I don't see a problem with this.

In The Winter We Do Otherwise We Would Have The Same Melty Mess.

for summer, we switched back to Becel margarine and when the weather cools off again, we'll go back to using only butter and leaving it out on the counter all day.

I have a/c so I leave it out. If I see it isn't being used quickly I refrigerate it. When it gets melted you can add it to your veggies...or use it to grill bread for sandwiches, or garlic bread. I also put mine in a bown instead of a butter dish, just in case.

I keep my butter in the fridge. It would be a mess otherwise.

We keep one stick of butter in our butter boat on the counter all the time. It keeps it soft.

I only use spray butter, so it's in the fridge...

I only use 'I can't beleive it is not butter, which stays soft in the fridge. My aunt always left her butter out. None of her kids went to college...connection?

I only put out about a 1/4 pound at a time and leave it out unless I'm going to be away for a day or two.

Since moving to MI I leave mine out on the counter. In Houston, never, it would spoil very quickly.

do you use a butter bell? I've see those at TJ Maxx. They look kind of small and you have to add ice water to it.
