How can people make light of this tragedy? I really don't think it's funny at all. Hundreds of people have died. If not for all the deaths, I'd think it was be funny.

On a side note... My Dad was born in Centralia, IL.

The Onion is definitely a "parody news" source! This NEVER happened in Centralia. My DH went through the 1st grade up to high school & his Mother lived there until her death 5 years ago. The only "sweets" factory in town was Hollywood Candy (of which my DMIL worked for 30 years) and a potato chip factory.....no pudding factory, folks.
