  • Has anyone tried Fasta Pasta

I saw many good reviews on this gadget on another board and couldn't resist the urge to try. Well, I must say, for something that makes having pasta for one or two so easy, I have to rave about it. I've used it twice for pasta salad (great for not having to have a big pot of water and colander), and once for macaroni to add to my cheese.

If anyone is interested here is the link to one at Amazon:

is it like the pasta express tube thing-y?

I use my rice coker when I make pasta, I throw everything in (equal parts water/pasta, cheese and tomatoe sauce) and press the button. Comes out perfect everytime! And its great fo portion control too.

It's absolutely not like the tube thing. It comes with a card that shows what amount of pasta per type and serving and how much water to add to the container. You microwave it for the time shown on the card, then put the lid on and drain. You can rinse right in the gadget and drain with the lid on. I've had good luck with mine - no stuck together pasta and it comes out just right.

I have such a hard time using the microwave for anything but heating up stuff. If you buy it let us know how it does
