  • Pictures from Fay and my Car

I hope I pick the right thing for this to work. We'll see. I have one pic I took yesterday before the line fell. If you look close in one pic you can see the poor horses belonging to my neighbor who we so cruel to leave them out in 50 mph winds and horrendous rain!

    Thursday Afternoon 8-21

So......I suppose it will stay this way until the rain stops and the person we need to help us is no longer passing kidney stones. Not sure what's going to happen next. It's a guy thing and I learned from this happening in the first place when I told him my car should be moved that guys don't listen to women even though we are right 99 percent of the time!
Rain has eased up now. Getting warm again already.

Wow! You're lucky it didn't break the windshield. Hope you can get it fixed soon.

UGH!! I am so sick of the rain - it has become depressing! Thankfully we have not had any damage.

        Sorry about your car!

My car seems to be fine, however, we have to hire a licensed electrician to fix it after the power cuts the power to the pole, buy a new pole (the joys of living in the country and having to supply your own pole to get it from the main power pole to the house) Then wait for possibly two weeks or whenever the inspector is available to inspect it before we can get power again.
We were actually lucky since the line didn't break the pole fell with the line intact so we still have power until we call them. Not looking forward to being without power that long. We can shower down at his moms, but no air 24-7 in 90 degree plus weather will be more than I can bear, I remember the 2004 hurricanes and how hot it was without power , Oh Joy!! I will look forward to going to work and spending most of my day in a freezer!
