  • Opinion needed on staff Christmas gifts

My staff has doubled in size this year. I use to make everyone something but I am weary of the time it will now take me. I have arrived at 3 ideas. Which one would you choose?

#1 For the staff lounge- Boxes of microwave popcorn with a supply of 4 different home made seasonings to sprinkle on top (ala paula dean recipes)

#2Mulled cider mix in a cheesecloth bag- and a recipe attached on how to make mulled cider (each staff would get on pack/recipe)

#3 Christmas lollipops (about 60 cents each) have about 120 staff. which is kind of pricey since I also have to make a special gift for each of the management team

    I like Recipe #1...
they are all good, but food is always good & popcorn would be inexpensive and the different seasonings will be thoughtful. Not everyone likes cider, but the different seasoning for the popcorn sounds like a winner...something for everyone!
Have you made time to listen to the birds today........

I vote for # 1 - but how about those staffers who don't like popcorn? Do you think they will feel left out?

Just a suggestion - Bring in a home cooked meal for everyone or even have it catered. You can do a turkey or a ham with all the sides. Let everyone come in together and make a speach on how much you appreciate all their hard work through the year.

DH brings in pizza's for all the guys "in the back" who help him out all year. Its a nice surprise for them, and just a little way to say thank you. You can have the pies cut in 16'ths.

All good ideas, however, have you thought about catalogs like LTD, and ABC?
They have gifts there really inexpensive, and they even sell them in quanitity.

At our school, the administration (principal and district administrator), pays for the staff and ESP to our "Christmas" hot lunch meal.

You are generous NA.........so nice of you to keep wanting to do all that even with the amount of people expanding and all. I'd say #1 would be my choice. Sounds easier on you in time and money. If you decide you really want to go a bit further, also leave some of that mulled cider on the staff lounge table with the popcorn to wash it all down, lol! Mmmmm, yummy!
