Prayers for our Meredith/August 25

11 days on the vent...Meredith has developed a bladder infection and is running a fever and is in a little pain. The vent is on the CPAP setting which is a good thing and she is maintaining 90-97% O2...they are still giving her Levafed to keep her, normally low blood pressure, up...she was a little alert this afternoon and gagging on the tube...if she isn't weaned off the vent by the end of the week, they will do a tracheostomy and place a peg in her side to feed her...please pray that it does not come to this...even though they say that it is easier to wean from the trach...
