Did anyone see Michael Symon make chocolate covered bacon on "Dinner Impossible"? Everyone who tried it said it was just awesome! So being those are two of my favorite foods
    I have to try it.

Chocolate Covered Bacon with Almonds 2008, Michael Symon, All rights reserved.
See this recipe on air Sunday Aug. 31 at 11:00 PM ET/PT.

    Show: Dinner: Impossible
    Episode: Boardwalk

1 pound thickly sliced slab bacon
    1/2 pound milk chocolate
    1/4 pound toasted almonds

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Place bacon on a sheet tray and cook until crisp, about 25 minutes. Melt chocolate in double boiler over low heat. Dip crisp bacon in chocolate and place back on sheet tray.

Sprinkle with almonds and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.

I saw that. I like bacon and chocolate. But together??? I just don't know.

This is not too weird but I enjoy peanut butter and bananas.

Have any of you heard of a Lutherburger? Looks totally disgusting to me, but I know people who have tried it, and say its delicious. *barf*

What's a Lutherburger? No it's not something invented by anyone with cholesterol issues, that's for sure! Evidently in 2006, the Gateway Grizzlies baseball team of Sauget, Illinois began selling this donut-based burger under the name "Baseball's Best Burger". It's actually a hamburger patty topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon with a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut in place of a typical bun. Check out the link below. Would you eat one? I sure wouldn't!!

I love me some peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I also love pears with mayo and shredded cheese on top.

I would think the sweetness of the chocolate and the saltiness of the bacon would complement each other.

We love prociutto crudo (smoked dry-cured ham) and melon. It is that same salt/sweet combination.
Communicate. It can't make things any worse!

So what did you do... Smear chocolate over the bacon? Or just dip the bacon in the chocolate.
