Airline glitch..

Did you hear on the news that nation wide there is an airline glitch? Over 5,000 planes in holding patterns in the skies, and the tarmacs are getting so backed up.. Anyone you know that is flying today?

I would be a basket case if it were me up there.. Thinking they'd run out of gas before being able to land..

I'm SO glad I'm not there! I had to be at the airport on Wednesday almost 2 weeks ago at 5 am for a 7 am flight from Phila. to Chicago where I'd change planes and continue to Springfield, MO.

When I got there, I saw the plane was already delayed 1 1/2 hours... screwing up my connecting flight... so I changed that... and waited... and waited... and waited.

The plane FINALLY boarded at 10:30 am... while we waited and watched plane after plane going to Chicago (same airline) board up and leave!!

THEN... we were like # 25 in line to take off!! I said to the lady next to me, "Doncha think they should bump us to the front of the take off line when our plane's leaving 3 1/2 hours late??

I JUST made my rescheduled connecting flight!! I was SOOO irritated!!!!

These days, whenever I'm planning to fly, I always look very carefully at what time my flight leaves, where the connection is, how much time I have between connections, and which airport I make my connection at. Add in the weather, and you can have a very long and miserable day!

i think they found the glitch and are fixing it,lots of mad travellers,the airlines are really bad these days...

IMHO...the airlines are screwing up on purpose!
They WANT the government to step in and save them, AGAIN. They WANT all these irrate passengers so when it comes time to have a "take over" the "people" will be behind it.
The airlines just want to make money...and cut out as many frills as poss...when they get in a bind they yell for help and the government helps!!! IT'S JUST SICK!!!! Why not put a LEAN on some of those HUGE-ENORMOUS pension plans the airline owners are taking?????
