No internet service for 3 months

we decided to shut off internet service and cable we wanted the bundle service for 99.00 dollars ,phone ,internet and cable but because we are customers or comcast and not a new customer we could not recieve this package deal.I have a question for all of you
Could you do with out your internet,home phone or cell and cable for 3 months to a year.
We actually did allright now we are without phone but that is due to tropical storm fay or was fay.

Easily, If I Never Talked On The Phone Again It Would Be Too Soon. I Would Miss The Internet, But I'm On It More At Work Than At Home, So I Really Wouldn't Miss It Too Much At Home.

So Yes I Could Do Without It.

Now Dishnetwork/satalite Tv....that's Different!!! Lol

We Turned Off Our Direct Tv The Beginning Of The Summer, And I Don't Miss It One Bit. I Am Pretty Sure We Wont Turn It Back On For The Winter Either. We Have Been Watching More Movies, With Having Netflix. I Only Have Dial-up Internet At Home, I Could Live W/out That. The Most I Use It For To To Look At The Sunday Meijer Ad And If I Need A Recipe.

I could do it very easily. I'm not online much and only because it's here. We are getting rid of cable and I seldom talk on the phone.

Nope could not do it. We are in the country. I am alone half of each week. I would either become a recluse, terrified to stick her nose out the door, or go completely loony-toons because of lack of contact.

Could I do without cable, phone and internet, if I really had to, I guess so, but I don't want to. Come to think of it , I could not do without a phone at all, I talk to my kids, grandkids / friends all the time, and if we don't talk we email each other. I guess I could do without TV, I could get the news via radio and newspaper.
But I love my phones, my internet and my satelite dish, and I have no plans on doing without any of it.

I could probably do without because I'd get my fix of the internet and using the computer at work......it's just not as fun as my CK fix is!!!

The kids think they would "die" without the internet, cell phone or cable. I have to have a cell phone, we don't have a home because we all have cell phones, would REALLY miss the internet...cuz then I wouldn't have anybody to chat with.

Does AT&T service your area there? We have comcast triple, like you mentioned but I thought (I could be wrong) that AT&T had about the same deal or you could get one of the services for around the same price ($33).

The library usually has free internet service and if you have a laptop, you might find a restaurant like Panera or a coffee shop that has WI FI.

I don't think I could live w/o internet that long! My faraway friends and family email more than they call, so I'd probably get lonesome!

Also, down this way we have brighthouse with the bundle thing. You should have that up there too, don't you?

would love for someone to pull the plugs on everything, but no one has the nerve to do it, so we keep it, and we go with the flow of everyone else we know.


if it were up to me, I'd live in the 80's all the time and never leavre 1983.
atari, microwaves, fast speed record on the cassettes, no cell phones, no internet,
boy george, and wham, concert tickets were cheaper, and we had the new bowling alley with 64 lanes, it was the best hang out ever...

I have a phone strictly for emergencies. I don't even have long distance service and no bells or whistles.

However, I'd be lost without the internet since it's essentially how I communicate the most with friends/family since I do dislike long phone conversations.

I also play Scrabble on line with an internet friend.

I could live without the phone..for darn sure...
I enjoy the internet, but could probably do without it as well..
In 2001 I had to get rid of a lot of niceties that I used to have. You would be suprised at what you can do without..lol!

i have done without all those things and it bothered me for a few days, then it was no big deal, i went almost a year without and got them back for fun i guess,glad i did, lol
