  • And the saga continues...

OK, so my Girl Scout "co-leader" (the one who has been such a yutz, and COMPLETLY screwed up the cookie money so we were missing $400, and complained to council about ME...yet I STILL had to keep her on because they "Couldnt be certain she didnt just misplace the money somewhere"...)
Anyway, my co-leaders HOUSE now has a "FOR SALE BY OWNER" sign up!!!!! She said (when I questioned her) "OH, I'm just weighing my options...looking at a few towns"!!! WTH?
I am TOTALLY baffled, and am wondering WHY since she has so much vested in THIS town...she is (against my better judgement) the PTA treasurer for our school (she was vested BEFORE the cookie money thing happened...but I still warned the PTA pres, who is a friend of mine)...

OK, so maybe I'm NOT baffled...maybe I saw this coming...maybe I want council and the town to see this...and maybe I feel REALLY bad for her even thou she has TRASHED me all over town...maybe I'll be VP some day

I feel like A weight has been lifted, and I even thou not everyones yet...they will (not by ME mind you). I feel like I've been free'd

        BUT WAIT....now theres MORE!
I had my co-leaders over (we choose Thursday night), so we can plan the up-coming meetings, feildtrips and events before school starts. This "co-leader" tells me she "cant make the meeting, do what ever you think needs to be done." I said "ok, but I dont want to leave you out of everythng, I would like your input" (not really, but I felt I should play nice).
Thats when she drops the bomb: "I really dont WANT to be invovled...I just want to be a head-count" she said. "REALLY? You fought SO HARD to be leader, and not half a year later your backing out?" I said. Then she said "I only joined so the troop wouldnt spilt up...you got your way, run with it"

NOW, I AM confused! SHE tried to take me down at EVERY TURN, and sabatoge EVERY meeting by "forgetting" to bring her choosen items, or bringing something we couldnt use...(but I was always prepared anyway, so it didnt matter). And NOW she wants to be "only a HEAD COUNT"? Then she says "Oh, and I'm not doingthe Avon fundraiser anymore either...I'm not selling it anymore, so forget about that too!"

YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you all join me in a big HAPPY DANCE!!!

I don't remember the whole story either, too much to keep up for me, LOL. But if you are happy, I am happy for you.

Sewcute...........is this the same woman who was clinging to her daughter's every move and seemed afraid to let her go anywhere solo? Ha, maybe her daughter finally told her mommy to cut the umbilical cord. Not nice of me, I know, but if I remember correctly, she was almost obsessed with being there for her daughter's every breath. Wow, interesting turn of events. However, now you get to proceed without all the baggage.

Good for you!!! Carry on dear leader and as this mother told you, "run with it"! Have fun and hope it's a GRRRRREAT year for you ALL.

Just remember Sewcute, keep all your receipts for everything, have all your documentations, just have all your paperwork in A 1 shape. I am always a little leary of people who tell me, that they don't care and for me to go run with it, etc. etc. they are usually the ones later on who make a fuss. I hope that won't happen to you.

HA HA! NO, thank GOD! THAT mother has decided NOT to join the troop!!! (go figure) LOL! What a pill she was! I stuck to my guns and she wasnt happy. Thought she could "control" the meetings and what her DD heard...HA! I follow GS's handbook, I'm not changing 95yrs of tradition for her...

This woman was my co-leader and JUMPED at the chance to be "cookie mom". She somehow LOST $400 and tried to blame me!!! I had ALL my recipets, spread sheets, meeting notes, copies of SIGNED trip approvals, etc...she COULDNT get me in trouble (althou she REALLY tried)!!!

Oh my, what fine kettle of fish you've had to deal with my dear! Glad things are starting to look UP for you.........but like Sabine mentioned........just be careful!!!

Unfortunately, I usually find that when everything "seems" right, there's usually something "wrong" about to rear it's ugly head. Don't mean to be pessimistic, just a realist. I've been burned one too many times with my "trusting" people. My family is ALWAYS telling me......."you are just toooooo nice"!

Regardless, have fun and your are doing such good thing for those girls and that's what REALLY counts.
