GUSTAV---Catagory 4 now...

Hello dear friends! Well the National Weather Service has just announced that it is a Catagory 4 storm now...And Hannah is right behind him...
I think this one is going to be a really bad one folks...
Catagory 4 and isn't even in the gulf really good yet...It can gain so much speed before it hits...I am getting scared..All prayers are needed and greatly appreciated folks...

Hasn't even totally crossed Cuba yet. It will pick up speed coming across the gulf. Could be just like Katrina, as far as speed and strength is concerned.

OUr good friends in Independence LA said they won't know until Sunday if they're going to evacuate or not. They stayed during Katrina, she said she won't stay again. Her DH will stay, he's afraid of looters. Hope everyone stays safe.

Just got this email from my CNN Breaking News email list that I belong to:

"Mayor Ray Nagin orders New Orleans evacuated, calling Hurricane Gustav "the mother of all storms."

Oh Lordy, those poor, poor people......here they go again. As Stella said, "it's out of our hands".

I took the kids to my parents this morning they in Shreveport/Bossier area. DH and I will probably leave tomorrow. We're just under voluntary evacuation right now. They will start contraflow tomorrow (3 lanes going North and 1 south).

I don't have TV cable or anything, so I have to get all my news by my internet. I'll be watching carefully. This storm really is frightening. I'm praying for everyone in its path. Stay safe out there!

I had CNN on but not really watching it doing other things, from what I saw, they are trying to bus people out that don't have transportation. What more can those people do? They must be so scared after Katrina, they said they want it more organized. I hope this isn't going to be another Katrina, then it may go to Texas. I have family in Fl. We have so many members here from Texas. I wish all of you to be safe. Please check in with us so we know that you are safe. This is a huge worry.

Having grown up outside of Corpus Christi, I know about hurricanes You have the head the warnings! From what I hear on the news, the Gov. said " get out by Sat. at noon". I just hope that everyone listens. The Gov. of Texas stated " be sure to get the meds. you need, some cash, and any important papers together ..... and PETS and get out ". We still have people hear from Katrina. I do wish saftey to all, be smart and move away from the storm!
