We moved into a newly built apt 2 years ago, as i've said before, and never thought of papering our wooden kitchen cabinets or our bathroom storage. Should I ? I mean, things are wet and spill and such...would it be prudent ?

Re: Do I "need" shelf paper ?
I used to put up shelf paper, but not anymore. Not in my pantry or in my cupboards where I keep my dishes. I have nothing on those shelves that could spill anything.
When I notice that the shelves are dusty, I take the dishes out , wipe the shelf and put everything back in. Forget paper. JMHO

Re: Do I "need" shelf paper ?
i do.
i have that bubbly rubber stuff. it keeps the glasses and plates from sitting directly on the wood cubbards.
and the cast iron pans do not tear up the cabinets. they are heavy and drag across the shelf, it scratches. i like to have them covered.I just hold on tighter, to a hand that's stronger...he knows my every thought, he clears my weary heart, and hold's on tighter...

Same here. The average woman would rather have beauty than brains, because the average man can see better than he can think.
