  • Coments please, re: KA Flour Whole Grain Baking Book

I have been looking at a promo for King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking book. (Actually been looking at them ever since the book came out.) Once again, I am tempted.

Does anyone have this book or have you heard any comments about it? What do you (or others) like best about the book? The least? Even on sale it can not be called cheap.

Not sure looked on KA website and the book runs $34.99 kind of expensive. They seem to have a lot of their recipes on the website so maybe look there and try those first before buying the book.

One of my DDs got it and really likes it. You can get it for $21 from Jessica's Biscuits, i.e. www.ecookbooks.com

I've never tried a KA recipe that I didn't like. Subscribe to their E-M and/or check the web site weekly for a new recipe or just search the wet site. They have some particularly good scone recipes IMHO. My favorite includes oats, oatmeal and fresh cranberries.

Thanks for the responses. I have two of their books. The first one called for several of their special products although they usually gave substitutes. The second one I got is really useful. Even at discount sites, it is still somewhat more than I usually pay for a book, so appreciate any input before I make decision.
