2 job interviews today!!!

I've already went to one job interview this morning. I have another one scheduled later this afternoon.
The one this morning was in front of about 10 people(a panel interview). It was for the head honcho's office assitant. I was a nervous wreck! I've never had to be in front of so many people before. I think it went well..I was told I will know in a couple of days.
The one this afternoon is at a hospital in the hospice unit as a ward clerk(or unit clerk).
I'm really, really hoping for this job!! I'm wanting to get into the medical field and I believe this one would be an excellent job to start at. The hospital has multiple programs where the employee can train in different programs if they want to boost their career skills.
I'm not saying the job this morning is crap, I'm just stating which of the 2 jobs I prefer. I'm thrilled that I've been given a chance.

Its a very tough job market here in the Tucson area. I did have a job interview last week.(I didn't get the job). Anyway the interviewer told me that she had almost 30 people lined up for that one position. She also stated that they received over 100 responses to their ad.
Its disheartening..>>

This is a tight market right now. We were worried about my youngest son, he kept saying he wanted to work at a specific place, he kept going on different interviews with the place and finally after around 3-4 months, he has a job there. Keep the faith and hope it works out for you

Isis, I worked in the employment placement and HR for a few years...The ones who were persistent and kept up the application and interview process always got hired. As for the panel interview, it is the up and coming interview technique. I've done a few and participated in a few. As long as you are "yourself", you will be successful and that kind of an interview. The "false" applicant will always come through in that type of an interview. From what you are saying, you did well. Good luck on getting the hospital position. Oh what the heck, good luck on getting the job of your dreams .

Congrats on your interviews, hope you get the one you want.

I am curious though, what kind of education do you have to have for a ward clerk and what does that entail as far as job duties go?
I have been thinking of getting in the medical field but don't know what to start out at.
I have no college so that would be a good start, LOL, but it would kind of be nice to have an idea of what, if you know what I mean. If you could just give me a little info I would appreciate it. I was thinking the same thing, if I could just get my foot in the door.
