Lawry's Perfect Blend Seasoning and Rub.

Also - Kickin' Chicken - I think this is a Weber's product but am not positive.

    We like Cavenders.
I also like an all purpose seasoning called Badia.
Both are good on all kinds of meat, poultry and fish.
    Savory....

mmmmmm! Sewcute, I've made your rub twice already for bbq chicken. My husband was wondering why the chicken brown a lot and I think it's due to the brown sugar in it. Very good....I'm afraid to tweek it b/c it tastes fine!

My family likes the blend I make of: salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, brown sugar.
I mix equal parts of each (half on the pepper cause of the kids)... and I mix ahead of so I always have it on hand. It's GREAT on pork tenderloin too! Tweek to your liking:

    Sewcutes chicken/pork rub:
    1T salt
    1/2T pepper
    1T paprika
    1T onion powder
    1T brown sugar
Mix all in a 1c glad bowl. Rub on whole chicken or parts, porkloin or chops. store upto 6months.

I like to spray olive oil spray on it to help it brown and then Lawry's seasoned salt.

Re: What kind of seasoning for rotisserie chicken

In the mail today, I got a "packet" of recipe cards, wanting me to buy more that will make a book, you know what they are. Well... One of them is Herb-Roasted Chicken, Pic looks really good. Bet it would work as Rotisserie also.

    Herb-Roasted Chicken

    Serves 6

    2 tbsp butter
    1 tsp dried sage
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1/8 tsp black pepper
    1 whole chicken (3lb 5oz)
    1 tsp dried rosemary
    1 onion, peeled

    2 cups chicken broth
    6oz new potatoes, parboiled
3 bell peppers, seeded and cut into quarters
2 med. zucchini, cut into chunks
    1 red onion, slice
    1 tbsp olive oil
    flat-leaf parsley sprigs, to garnish

Combine butter, sage, garlic and pepper. Carefully loosen the skin from the chicken breast, being careful not to tear it.
Spread half of the herb mixture under the skin: rub the rest on top. Sprinkle with rosemary. Place onion in chicken cavity and tie legs together with kitchen string.
Place the chicken on a rack in a roasting pan and pour broth into pan. Cover pan with foil and roast for 1 hour
Uncover chicken and roast until juices run clear when meat is pierced, about 40 minutes longer. Transfer to serving dish. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
Meanwhile, place the parboiled new potatoes, peppers, zucchini and onion slices on a seperate baking tray. drizzle with the oil and then roast for 35-40 minutes until cooked and crisp around the edges. Arrange around the chicken, along with the parsley, to serve.

Re: What kind of seasoning for rotisserie chicken

I use the one from this recipe:

    Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

    4 teaspoons salt
    2 teaspoons paprika
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    1 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 teaspoon white pepper
    1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    2 onions, quartered
    2 (4 pound) whole chickens

    1. In a small bowl, mix together salt, paprika, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder. Remove and discard giblets from chicken. Rinse chicken cavity, and pat dry with paper towel. Rub each chicken inside and out with spice mixture. Place 1 onion into the cavity of each chicken. Place chickens in a resealable bag or double wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 to 6 hours.
    2. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
    3. Place chickens in a roasting pan. Bake uncovered for 5 hours, to a minimum internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C). Let the chickens stand for 10 minutes before carving.
