  • Does anybody have this problem with their dishwasher?

I've lived in a few different places, but never had this problem. We have a newer model, GE dishwasher, probably about 3 years old. It always leaves the dishes wet after a cycle. I even bought that new dish liquid by Jet Dri that is supposed to help that problem, but it didn't work. I don't like drying dishes by hand, so I usually have to empty the dishwasher and air dry the dishes on the counter. And that looks cluttered!!!

Mine is 2 1/2 years old and I've never had a dishwasher berfore, so I just assumed that the stuff was going to be wet, if I didn't run the Dry cycle.

Oh, I run the dry cycle. I use the heated dry cycle. My last dishwasher didn't do this, so I was wondering why this one does.

I would call a repair man and have it checked, maybe something is wrong with the wiring, maybe the drying cycle is not working the way it's supposed to. It sounds like it isn't working.

My dishwasher leaves the dishes in the drying rack until they are dry. But he seldom puts them away in a timely manner. ;-)

LOL, funny. But my dishwasher doesn't put them away either.

It does the same thing when I don't run the dry cycle. Usually, it's the top rack that doesn't dry as well. I usually try to run it at night and will leave the door cracked or open to air dry in there. At least that's better than having dishes drying on the counters.

i'm so happy to hve the dishwasher that i never thought about them being damp. does it really matter? my cabinets aren't that tightly closed so i don't th ink they'll mold in theree. i just turn everything upside down as i put it away.

course, the top rack is mostly glasses and they're already upside down

Re: Does anybody have this problem with their dishwasher?

                      i have three dishwashers.

someone times it's loaded correctly, but unloaded.
other times food is not rinsed off and loaded
other times it's loaded and not started
and then there are times when it's perfect.

these are the days I am to cherish... i am told...
I just hold on tighter, to a hand that's stronger...he knows my every thought, he clears my weary heart, and hold's on tighter...

if you don't have a food filter, you gotta rinse. we had to get a technician in because we didn't always rinse, and we were't getting our stuff clean in there anymore.

I just bought a Bosch dishwasher last year, top of the line and so quiet, I love it. But I still rinse, rinse very well, before I load the dishes.
