    Beef Stroganoff!

    Can you believe it?

I like it too. Have come across several recipes that looked good, just never have done it.
Anyone have a great recipe - send it on - convince me I should try it! Ha!
Anybody got something they've just never cooked?

From magic az at The Meeting House

Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff From Taste of Home

    INGREDIENTS

    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1-1/2 pound beef tenderloin, cut into thin strips

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    2 tablespoons butter

    1-1/2 cups beef broth

    1/4 cup sour cream

    2 tablespoons tomato paste

    1/2 teaspoon paprika

    Salt to taste

    Hot cooked noodles

    DIRECTIONS
Place flour in resealable plastic bag; add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown beef in oil and butter over medium heat.
Gradually stir in broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, tomato paste, paprika and salt; slowly stir in sour cream mixture (do not boil). Cook, uncovered, over low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve over noodles. Yield: 4-6 servings.

    (I add mushrooms and onions)

Re: I'm a FOODIE - but have never cooked ****

This is the recipe I used in college.

1 round steak cut in thin slices
1 packet liptons onion soup mix
1 small can cut up mushroom I replace with sliced fresh
1 8 oz. container sour cream

Brown steak in oil. Add onion soup mix and water(for soup), add mushrooms and cook down. Add sour cream and heat. Serve with Noodles.
