  • second life for hangers?

    Hey all,
I ordered those "Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers" (which we ABSOLUTLY LOVE - BTW), but now I have all those plastic tube hangers left over. They are in fine shape, and we have about 70 of them.
So heres my thought...use some for Girl Scouts and donate the rest to local womans shelter. I was thinking of having the girls cover the hangers with lace, and fill with pot pourri, decorate with ribbons and such...then donate those as well as the "Non decorated" ones.
Anyone have a better thought about how to use all these plastic tube hangers? What do you do with them? Anything crafty? anything differant? I would really like to recycle them in some way (instead of trashing them...trying to set a good example and all...)

Sew you have some great ideas, partic the one for potpourie (sp?) for the closet. You can also fill with cedar for moth proofing a closet. You can also decorate with ribbins, bells, shells ect, for a "wind sock" for outside.Laura
