Getting tickets to a concert??

Is it possible to get tickets to a concert before they actually go on sale? I remember a credit card (not sure which one) actually advertised that they were able to secure tickets in advance. Anyway, anyone have any ideas? My daughter wants to go to a concert on Dec. 31...Neil Diamond. Last time I stood in line to get tickets and it was NOT fun. In addition, scalpers were snatching them up and reselling them!!. Any advice for me?? After all, she IS his #1 fan.

Check Ticketmaster.com and see what it says there...........
