  • thanksgiving dinner rolls..homade or store bought

do you make your own dinner rolls..or do you buy thing from the grocery store or bakery..

one year my neice made challah bread and it was so good..not sure if that's the correct spelling..

my sister works at a grocery store so she picks up the left over rolls..

Store bought, there is already so much to prepare, no need to worry about making rolls.

I used to buy those store bought rolls that came in a package of 12. Half were white and half were wheat. Gosh, I loved those things. Haven't thought of them in a long time. I'll have to see if I can find them next time I'm at the store.

Don't have the time to do homemade rolls. I usually use Pillsbury Cresent Rolls and Grand Biscuits. Too much to do preparing the rest of the meal not to mention homemade desserts and snacks.

I usually make the yeast rolls around the first part of November and freeze them-after you warm them up on turkey day, you can't tell they have been frozen.

                      Storebought!

But this year DD#2 will be also making some homemade bread with her KitchenAid Mixer she got for Christmas last year.....DH tasted some that she made and automatically designated her bread maker for all family holiday get-togethers! HA!

We'll do Crescent Rolls, Dinner Rolls and whatever she makes!

Too much prep goes into everything else to fuss over the rolls!

NA... Where are they located? In the bread isle or bakery section? I have never seen them at mine. Do they sell them year round or just during the holidays?

Janabanana.........They have been in or near the bread section each time I have bought them. They have been available for the last month or so. They even had them as a sample taste (that is how I found them.) If they are not in your costco yet.. I am sure they will be soon.
