Meatball sandwich thing ..

I made meatballs Sunday night but ran out of steam to prepare any side dishes, so we put them in bread and ate them as sandwiches !

It was MAD good!

Any ideas for future such meatball sandwiches ? Thanks.

I like cheese on mine, and then I just put the sandwich/es in the toaster oven/boiler to melt it. Yummm.

with the meatballs hot or cold ?

Hot and in a marinara sauce.

I put meatballs on the roll, sploosh some sauce over them, put LOTS of mozarella on top of that, wrap the whole thing in foil and stick it in the oven at 350.
