  • Opening the bar

My darn foot is just throbbing. I do *not* want to spend another afternoon at doc in the box. *sigh*

    I'll have a Bud can.

I need something strong... to either knock this cold on its butt... or to knock ME on my butt so I don't CARE about it!!

I'm going to follow that with the following

          A Curious Feeling

Famous bartender Rodney Simmons created this drink in honor of the new millenium. The name came from a remark of one of his satisfied customers upon trying the drink for the first time.

          2 oz Beefeater® gin
          1 oz Angostura® bitters
          2 oz Tropicana® orange juice
          1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
          1 oz Mott's® clamato juice
          1 tsp brown sugar

Combine dry gin, bitters, coffee liqueur, and orange juice in a mixing glass and stir. Decant contents into a microwave-safe container and microwave for 30 seconds. Add ice to a blender and pour contents of container into it. Add clamato juice and brown sugar, cap container, and turn blender on. When mixture has the consistency of a frozen drink, pour into highball glass. Garnish with straw, a dash of kosher salt, and peppermint leaves.

                Re: Opening the bar

A few weeks ago I was making chinese food. The oil got too hot before I was ready for it. When I went to slide the pan off the burner, I splashed hot oil across the top of my foot. Not having insurance, I tried to treat it myself. It got infected. Is costing me a small fortune now and hurts like a son-of-a-gun.

                Swollen as heck too: http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d47/AngelaID/DSC00539.jpg

Thought for the day: Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away!

                        Creature from the Black Lagoon

Oh AngID, that looks bad & sore. Maybe one of the nurses on this board can help you. You really need a few good strong drinks to take away the pain.
