This may sound silly, but when I watch the cooking shows on Food Network I always secretly wish that when they taste what they have made JUST ONCE they would say something like, "It's okay," or "I don't know what happened," or heaven forbid, "Ewwww."

I know I'm crazy, but when you think about it, can everything they make be THAT good? I know some things I make are great, some are okay, and some I would never make again. Sometimes even if I've made something many times before and have loved it it would not turn out another time. Sorry, but it's just a little "fantasy" of mine. I just have a warped sense of humor I guess.

No, you don't have a warped sense of humor, I think the same thing sometimes. I even go a step further. You know how Rachael Ray always loads up as much stuff as possible in her arms, because she only wants to make one trip. Well, just for once I would like to see her drop everything, just once. I am sure it has happened in real life, they just don't show it on the air. So there, that's my warped mind.

Sabine, my daughter and I were just talking about that yesterday when we were watching her show! She put everything onto a pizza pan and carried it across the room and we were both thinking she was going to drop it.

I never really have understood what her point is in making just one trip ?? Can't possibly be that much of a time saver?? Plus you take the chance of dropping everything and then you have a big mess to clean up!

And she knows what she's going to make beforehand, so why not do like everyone else and have it all set out already? Is it to prove you can do it all in 30 minutes?

You two are cracking me up!

I bet if they saved all the mess up's they could have one heck of a bloopers show ...I think the same thing myself ...it all seems to smooth and perfect, especially In a Garten (spell?) and the old Martha Stewart-give me a break!!!

Martha is so bossy to her guests on her show. It's like she wants them to cook, but she totally bosses them around about how to do it. Her true colors are really starting to show through. And she would never say, "Yuck" after tasting something of hers.

I read a book titled 'just desserts' about Martha Stewart and not even her brothers, sisters, friends from her past have anything good to say about her. she seems to be fake and very, very ruthless....I cant even stomach her!

Rachael has all her pans set out...and the only thing in her pantry are the things she needs for her show. Honestly, her things are NOT 30 minute, although they are FAST! Some of her stuff is pretty icky and some is good. I love her Vodka Cream Pasta.

I keep hoping she will spill it all, although they would never show it!

I hate Martha Stewart, but anyways..
about Rachael Ray...you guys are so right! I was watching her show today about a late night post-wedding snack and just thought "no way can you carry all that stuff and not drop it". That is so annoying! Like how big is that kitchen anyway? What is the point? How much time would that kill in thirty minutes to take ONE trip to the fridge then ANOTHER to the pantry?

In one of those behind the scenes shows on Food Network, Rachel was saying that her producers thought it was cute to try to carry everything and she is always afraid that she might drop it. She said they keep piling it higher and higher, but that it wasn't her idea to do it in the first place!

Maddison, I also watched that show about the post-wedding menu. She made a yucky looking grilled ham/ cheese sandwich. Some of the recipes and the names she comes up with, I don't know, I think she is running out of 30 minute meals ideas ! I remember when she first was on with her show, she used to throw salt over her shoulder ( for good luck ) every time she used salt. I couldn't believe it.

I saw that same show with Rachel Ray - LOL. I wonder if there will ever be a blooper show for Food Network? There has to be fires and burns and boo boos.

I actually find Rachel Ray too irritating to watch anymore. My kids bought her book and she signed it. They said she was super nice but guess what she wrote?? You guessed it... "YUMMO." Ugh!!

Also, on every page of the book it says to use EVOO and then (extra virgin olive oil) in ( )... UGH!!!
