Can you please give me your directions for cooking rice in the microwave? That would be really great. Thanks,Charlyn

    For white rice:

1 cup rice to scant 2 cups of water. Nuke for 15 minutes and it is ready.
If you want to make more rice then lower the amount of water as it doesn't take quite double the amount of water.

    For brown rice:

1.75 cups water to 1 cup rice - nuke on high for 20 minutes, cover and let sit for 10 - 15 minutes (depending on how chewy you like your brown rice).

    Wild Rice

Wash and drain 1 cup wild rice. Cover with cold water. Season with salt and salt pork drippings. Nuke on high for 25 minutes.

I season my rice after making it

I've cooked all three together in the microwave to try it out. First 1 cup wild rice - barely cover with water and nuke for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup brown rice - barely cover with water and nuke for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup white rice and 1.5 cup water and nuke for 15 minutes.

Watch the rice occasionally to make sure there is enough water.

    Makes a nice mix
