i made cookies out of a chocolate cake mix and tossed in chocolate chips..my family gobbled them up..they loved them..it was so easy to make..

Is there a recipe on the cooking boards? How do you make cookies with cake mix? How are they, cakey, or cookie-ey? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

I make a lemon cookie out of a cake mix and they are delicious.

Lemon Cookies 350degrees
1 box lemon cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 T lemon juice
3/4 chopped nuts or coconut

Combine cake mix, eggs, oil and juice. Beat at low speed till blended. Stir in nuts.
Grease baking sheet. Shape in 1" balls and space 1" apart. Bake 6-7 minutes or till light brown. Sprinkle with powder sugar when cooled

you can actuallyuse any mix bes. angel food. you can add choc chips, nuts, coconut, etc.

If I didn't have super stuck in the mud fussy kids & hubby I would try em. But DH only eats PB cookies & kids eat chocolate chip. Any other kind will just sit until I eat em and I don't need em.

I made Rollo cookies today with a chocolate cake mix and they turned out great.

Here is the brownie cookie recipe that I use..its off the box of a Duncan Hines brownie mix. You can always add nuts or chocolate/ peanut butter chips, m&m's or whatever you feel like adding.


1 pkg Duncan Hines Brownie Mix
1 lg egg
2 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare in a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir until well blended. (It will be thick) Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool on pan for 1 minute. Move to rack to cool completely.

Makes 3 dozen.
