  • My Lupines

are really growing since we had all the rain, hot sunny weather and now more rain. Here is a pix of them.

Lupines ~ pink and purple and not fully opened

Giant English Daisy ~ the rain about beat it

King of Hearts - this is a new perennial to me. It is similar to a bleeding heart. The rain really tore this up too.

How pretty they all are. I planted my lupine seeds but not "action" yet. Hoping one of these days that everything will POP at once!

I understand the rain, you should see what it did to my basil!

My basil is from last September - it's HUGE! I'll get a pic tomorrow - hopefully it will bounce back.

I have some lemon basil I started not long ago, safe in the greenhouse.

gimmerecipes, they are really starting to open more now..........and, my Japanese Iris's are also budding. It is about time. They are about a month behind schedule - LOL. I guess they will bloom when they feel it is time

fatkat, the irises here are in bloom now also, all kinds. My mom has a bunch of the bearded German kind, and I've been taking pictures of them since they started opening up. She's going to divide them this fall, and she's going to give me a bunch then. I've been looking at Japenese and Siberian irises in a few catalogs, but I don't dare spend any more money this year on plants! LOL! Maybe next year!

Your flowers are gorgeous!! Mine have only just started to take, can't plant too early here.
I planted some bird seed. A bird came up. Now I don't know what to feed it.

Fatkat they look beautiful. My mimosa tree still has lots of blooms on it and so does my lantana. My crepe myrtle(sp) is starting to bloom and so are my day lilies. I have an old boat that I turned into a flower bed and it has vincas in it right now and they look so pretty. When I can get on the laptop I'll upload a pic to my photobucket.

From all the pics you show your yard always looks so pretty.
