  • the good old days?

I was sitting and wasting time while the Jim's Cleaner finished his magic on our BBQ and I spotted this 'recipe' from, I assume, a time when people didn't ask what's in a meal...

LOL! Ack! I have several really old cookbooks (you know I collect any and all cookbooks) and some of the recipes would make your tummy turn and you’d not be hungry for awhile!

I can't imagine every trying it, however our indigenous Australians do eat witchetty grubs and treat them as a delicacy. They are eaten alive... the head is bitten off and spat out and then the remainder of the grub is eaten. Apparently it has a taste similar to peanuts and is an excellent source of protein.
