  • This is the street rod!

I’m pretty sure I’ve never posted a picture of our 1938 Ford sedan street rod. It has a Chevrolet V8 engine and transmission in it so it’s a peppy little thing.

Was that picture taken in California or where you live now ? I assume you keep it in the garage ?

It was taken here in WA in our driveway. It absolutely lives in the garage!

For some reason I thought it was purple with flames painted on the side. Where in the world would I have gotten that information? Maybe from a movie - lol. The car is a head turner and beautiful. What fun riding around in that! Thanks for sharing.

Vera, it’s a deep teal metallic and it does have “ghost flames” that are a purple metallic. Ghost flames are a technique that makes the flames less obvious. I’ll see if I have a picture that shows them off better.

Here’s a better shot of ghost flames.

Charlene - So I'm not losing it after all - lol. Very nice and the closer picture shows it more teal. In the first picture it looked Navy blue to me at first glance. The ghost flames are really nice. Someone did a beautiful job on that paint. What fun to drive around as I'm sure it gets lots of looks. Thank you for sharing.
