Duh! Why did I not think of the ice pack? I am still figuring out the best way of doing this as the top, side and front of my hand is burned and it is mainly across the front and side of one finger that is cut. I think some crushed ice will work best for the top and side and just rest my hand on the ice pack. It is elevated and that helps also.

    Thanks for the help.

Happy to help! I have had many knife and burn injuries over the years. A few of the home remedies that have helped me are Vitamin E oil from punctured capsules put on burns, aloe Vera gel, and surprisingly enough, soaked tea bags on the burns. My hands and arms are a testament to how many burns I’ve gotten through years of working in electronics and cooking.
