I just learned this and cant believe I never knew. You take a sheet of aluminum foil about the size of a cookie sheet and loosely ball it up and stick it in the silverware basket and run your washer with soap like normal. The foil acts like jet dry getting everything sparkly and no spotting. How did I never know this?

That is a new one on me as well.

I’ve seen things about it but as pricy as foil is now I think I’ll stick to Jet Dry, especially since I still have 2 humongous Costco bottles of it!

I have never heard of this either, but do recall hearing about laying silver wear in foil 'bowl' with hot water & baking soda or something like that?

That probably wouldn't' work at my house. We have hard water and sulfur in the water. Aluminum reacts with sulfur
