August 12th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is a clear sky with the wonderful high of 76 and the low of 55.

Meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, garden green beans, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers will be dinner.

Another lovely day! Bunch of us heading to lake for afternoon, we are going to cook hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire for lunch, kids are super excited about that!
I'm in process of making a mac salad right now, taking a few chicken breasts out of freezer to BBQ later. Simple.

Julia's family all came over to help me do some housework. I currently have a lot of pain from arthritis due to the cold days and nights and housework is difficult. I'll start up the home help when we get back from Canberra. Because we are currently renting, we have a house inspection tomorrow morning and I was anxious to have everything tip top. Everything is perfect so the landlord shouldn't have any problem. I have a couple of things to bring up with him that he will need to get repaired.

Dinner tonight was from the fish and chip shop. The children had chicken nuggets and chips which is a big treat for them. I had tempura prawns, coleslaw and chips. John had a steak sandwich. I'm not sure what the others had.

It’s been a beautiful day today, clear and sunny and comfortable. I had a much better night last night, thank goodness. Slept like a log with no unpleasantness. I was finally able to set up another spaying appointment for Mendicat, next Tuesday. I’m going to make sure I bring her into the house Monday evening to be on the safe side. I’m not going to prepay this time just in case I don’t capture her. I swear, cats read minds.

I’m going to finish up the Buffalo chicken pasta and have some fruit with it for dinner.

Do you really want this cat ? Seems more trouble then the cat is worth . I bet if you don't feed her she will disappear. JMHO

She’s a very sweet cat and there is no way in the world I would want to quit feeding her, that’s just cruel. I love cats and even if she is the beggar in the neighborhood I want to do the responsible thing and make sure she’s vaccinated and spayed. We don’t need more kittens around to get picked off by coyotes and eagles. Yes, that happens around here.
