  • August 14th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is overcast with rain predicted along with the high of a wonderful 74 and the low of 61. Did I say wonderful?

A pot of potato and corn chowder, garden salad and fruit will be dinner.

What is your Suday night meal?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

I'm packing our bags tonight to leave for Canberra via Melbourne in the morning. I only need to back our bag. We'll be gone for up to three weeks.

Dinner tonight: John had the last of the curried sausages; I had spaghetti bolognaise.
Effort only fully releases its rewards after a person refuses to quit.

It’s a spectacularly beautiful day today, bright and sunny with some breeze. I’ve got the doors open and the ceiling fans on and I can hear the tinkling of my set of wind chimes on the front porch. I haven’t really accomplished anything today, but that’s OK, it’ll get done later. I’m reading Stephen King’s Insomnia right now, very good so far.

I’m trying out a recipe for Green Chicken Enchilada Soup tonight and I’ll have some tortilla chips and cheese with it.

Chayote: safe travels to you and John!
Today was a spectacular day...I hit our BIG ROCK that is our point of our families property..and indeed it is a big rock...perfect place for reading by the lake. I was out there by 11 am after I made a nice bacon and egg breakfast for me and hubs.
Kids came down afterwards, after their camping trip from north...spent afternoon with us on lake.
Dinner was leftover beef on a bun
