Another lovely day. High 78 low humidity. Very unusual for Aug. I'm lovin it

It's knit group this afternoon. No junk food tho. It's clean out the fridge night here too.

Chicken stovetop crockpot casserole. I have a bag of broccoli slaw that I should use. Maybe a ramen salad on the side.

I LOVE ramen slaw!!! Never had it with broccoli but sounds yum.

You got it LTB. we've both lost weight and would like to keep it that way

I have hundreds of cherry tomatoes on just 2 plants that are really tall. I am enjoying them all and sharing with the neighbor children as they love them also. DGS, not so much. Moderate amount of slicing ones on 4 plants. I so love them warm off the vine for a sandwich, for a snack, on or in just about anything.

I think of my Dad every time I pick one as he loved them like I do and taught me how good they are picked and eaten in the garden after the rain washed them and we had our saltshaker and sprinkled them with some.

Lol LTB. Looking back my.mom had a small garden. I would take the salt shaker to the garden and eat tomatos til I was almost sick. I'll bet she could have killed me. I don't remember her saying anything tho. I've always loved them. Sucks mine aren't doing any good this yr.

Would a Farmer's Market be an option for you? Not what you might have grown but just for a few it might work for you. We have one a couple blocks up and it is local people, beekeepers selling honey, homemade bread, etc. Just a thought.

It’s another one of those perfect Pacific Northwest days today, so beautiful out and the views of the Cascades was spectacular. I had a hard time getting to sleep last night, I was working out today’s schedule in my head all night, ugh. I was out early, took the cat to the NOAH center for her appointment, she wasn’t amused at all. After that I went straight to Walmart and was there before 9 am. Got all my shopping done and came home and took a nap for a bit. I picked up Mendi at 4 pm. It turns out she had been spayed already but she got her shots and a microchip, nail trim and a treatment for ear mites. I got her a collar, and I got a name tag with the address and phone number on it and I’ll also attach her microchip tag to it. She’s going to stay inside tonight.

I’m making a Romanian turkey burger and some fruit for dinner.
