August 29th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It will be a hot and humid day with the high of 90 and the low of 70 with a heat index of 95-98. A chance of rain later in the day.

We will have the pasta salad I made yesterday along with pickled beets I made a few days ago, corn on the cob and fruit salad.

What will be your Monday dinner?

Absolutely oppressive here. Mid 80s but the dew point is 75. It's trying to breath chunky veggie soup.
want scalloped potatos w/ smoked sausage BUT no oven today. So breaded tenderloins mac & cheese. Beets for Joe carrots for me.

Yes! it is verrrrry sticky out there today!
I just made hubby a cobb salad for lunch cuz he didn't feel up to anything heavy.
Dinner will be salisbury steaks/gravy, fries done in the AF and some more garden beans

I got some bone in sirloin steaks that were in the freezer. Big as a dinner plate and tough as can be. Dicing them up and making stroganoff since they have to cook all day to be edible. I will put it over cauliflower.

It’s another pretty day today, temperatures in the high 70’s right now. I got up early, for me anyway, so I could get showered and ready for the TV delivery this morning. Costco delivered it and unboxed and got it all set up for me and it’s very nice. I do wish they came with instruction manuals these days. QR codes are fine, but I really miss the manuals. There’s going to be a bit of a learning curve for me, this thing has more bells and whistles that the last computer I had!

I think I’m going to make a chicken Caesar salad wrap on garlic naan bread for dinner. It sounds good and I haven’t had one of those in a long time. I might just have some lentil soup with it like I used to get when we would have lunch delivered back when I worked for Hoodman.

yes I've heard of being "close" today was WAY WAY to close to suit me. Lol
