August 30th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is overcast still from the rain that moved in around 1 yesterday afternoon. It rained so hard and the wind was blowing so hard that leaves were being torn from the trees. Some of my tomatoes were tore off the plants so I was out after it passed and picking them up from the garden. Last night it started raining again and rained off and on all night. It is still very humid but by tonight it should drop as the system and rain moves out. The high will be 81 and the low of 63.

I am making salmon patties, baked sweet potatoes and green beans from the garden along with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and pickled beets.

What are craving for your dinner?

I am having chicken surprise. Its a surprise because I have no clue what I am going to make with it.

We have dog school tonight out in Jefferson. Hopefully it stops raining by then.

Chilly, overcast day here. I think its a good day to make some spaghetti sauce for dinner. I have a bunch of random buns in the freezer that I will thaw and use for garlic bread. I had a small bowl of caprese salad leftover that I was going to toss, then I thought, why not add it to the sauce? Lets see how that turns out....or maybe I will just add it to my own bowl.

It’s been a pretty day today but it’s definitely a bit on the warm side. Summer’s last gasp I guess. Not much going on today at all, just feeling kind of lazy.

I decided a couple of days ago that tonight is going to be pizza night, it’s $12.99 Tuesday at Papa Murphy’s, so it’s all ordered. I’m getting my recent favorite, the Greek Pepperoni. Yum!
