September 13th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is raining and a wonderfully cool morning with a high of 67 and the low of 57. I will take it rain and all.

Dinner tonight will be mac and cheese, roasted broccoli and tuna cakes.

Our weather was absolutely perfect today. The sun and wind dried all the washing on the line so that's it for another week. John was feeling slightly better today... of course he did, it was his poker day... I usually have lunch with him and when the game starts I go to Julia's house to play with Hannah. Instead I stayed at the club just in case he felt poorly.

For dinner tonight I cooked chicken wings in the airfryer. It just seemed the night for finger food.

I'm staying up late tonight to watch what's happening with the Royals and the Queen's journey back to England. History in real time.

The Queens casket is already on the way back to London. Military cargo plane. Flying time 1 1/2 hours from Edinburg to London. A lot of protocol and ceremony for sure. I just watched part of it on the Royal family channel on you tube.

Perfect day today. At the moment it's 64. Super low humidity and sunny. after a rainy, gray, windy raw day yesterday. I like a day like that once in awhile
Joe wanted to cook yesterday WHAT!!! Fine by me. He made green beans/potatos and smoked sausage. It was very tasty. Soooo today is the beef stew. Smells good

Chayote, glad John is feeling better today. You may have to find a poker group for every day

I may fix Mac and cheese this evening or a mini meatloaf. No appetite and less desire to cook. Sometime this week I will fix tacos as that actually sounds good to me.

Cool day here, kept changing clothes lol, I don't like this time of year when you just can't figure out the right thing to wear.
DD has stayed up north, she was asked to stay nite and watch her SIL's dog 'Hank'. Hank is a very, very large dog, part St. Bernard and another large dog mix, he's rather playful and likes to jump up on people. So, DD asked me if I'd like to go stay with her - cottage has just been totally renovated, right on the water/beach, such a gorgeous place....I said I'd sure like to come along! Now, I'm not too sure about Hank, I'm a bit apprehensive about the jumping thing, he'll probably knock me right over, I'm not a big human lol!
Anyway, I've picked a couple of pizzas to cook up for our dinner, and grabbed a few bags of munchies for later while we watch TV.
I cooked up some pork chops, scalloped potatoes and peas for the guys here.

It’s been a very pleasant day today, temperatures in the mid 60’s. This is my favorite kind of weather. I did a few things around the house and got to share the couch with Abby and Mendi this afternoon. It’s nice that they’re getting along so well.

I’m going to bake a frozen chicken pot pie and I’m going to cook up some fresh carrots to go with it.
