    Good Morning!

It is a sunny morning with a light haze that will probably burn off. The high will be 75 and the low of 57.

I am morphing the broccoli from last night into cream of broccoli and cheese soup with bacon, dinner rolls I will mix up later so they can rise and bake being warm for dinner along with baked custard.

    What will be your dinner?

      rosie,

The soup is easy, just a case of putting into the pot and heating it up as bacon is already baked and, in the freezer, roll dough made in bread machine, I just shape, let rise and bake and the custard is just ingredients into the dish into a pan of hot water and baked. Not a lot of cleanup either.

Fresh picked corn sounds so good. Will you eat it fresh or freeze some? That would make awesome scalloped corn or corn pudding. Maybe corn chowder?

All the fresh fruits and vegetables from spring into late fall are just so full of flavor.

      Have a great day!

Another late night due to the direct telecast of what is happening in London. The late Queen will stay in Westminster Hall now for four days. Long walk for the Royals to walk behind the gun carriage. I admire the Princess Royal for being so fit at her age. Irks me that Meghan can't seem to walk a step without holding Harry's hand... Just my opinion.

I've spent the day restoring one of my little Cabbage Patch friends. Her hair was a disaster and I needed to free the knots one hair strand at a time. Quite a lot of hand lotion went into the hair to restore it. Strangely it's a very relaxing task. #1... halfway into the challenge; #2... no more tangles. She will end up being like new.

Dinner tonight was sausages and bread. Still having difficulty getting John to eat. At least there was a bit of meat in the sausages. A lot of the greengroceries that I bought last week will go out into the green waste bin tomorrow.

I have been buys the last few days working with new dog trainer. I thought hubs was going to choke me because the guy is a homeless addict, but he used to train police dogs before he lost track of his life. In just 4 days I can now walk my dog around the block and not even hold his leash. Hubs is happy, I am happy and I now have a pretty darn good dog.

I put a pork butt on the smoker for dinner tonight. Now I just need to make some veggies and thats a day.

It’s a nice fall-ish kind of day today, very pleasant out. It’s kind of a bittersweet day, the streetrod got sold and towed away this morning. I wish I could have afforded to keep it but I would have had to hire someone to finish it up and even then I’m not sure I how much I would have driven it. Now I can pay off some bills and have a little breathing room financially. It is what it is. The guy that bought it is very interested in all of Ken’s tools too. I’ll be contacting him after my sons and grandson go through them and get what they want of them. There’s two good sized rollaway toolboxes out there.

I’m not feeling inspired at all tonight, I’m tired and don’t feel like cooking. I think I’ll finish up the Maid Rite sandwich clone I made a couple of days ago and have some roasted baby carrots with it.

Princess Anne looks absolutely exhausted. Megan Markle on the other hand looks like this is a wonderful photo op for her.

I have read The Daily Mail for years as part of my morning ritual at the computer. Every Megan article has a slew of comments that I thoroughly enjoy reading. What a soap opera Harry and Megan (Me-Again) are!
