    Good Morning!

I am seeing what looks like a sky that will be mostly sunny today with the high of 81 and the low of 62.

I have a beautiful head of cabbage that was gifted so cabbage rolls it is. I will have enough from this monster head that I will have some for freezing extras. Dinner rolls and Waldorf salad will be sides.

    What will be your dinner?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

We woke up to torrential rain this morning. I hadn't seen such heavy rain since we had the holiday home in Tasmania. It was heavy enough to cut the electricity in our area for a few hours and the wind blew over a mobile home housing an adult couple, two young children and a dog. I can only imagine how afraid they would have been.

Once the rain went away, we went out on our errands. John has transferred his driving licence from Victoria to South Australia, we've applied for our new disability parking cards and we would have changed the registration on our Caddy today except that I left the forms at home so we'll do that on Monday. We then drove to where our family lives to buy some groceries, Maccas for Andrew and Hannah and I bought some Get Well helium balloons for them to play with. Hannah looked so sad only seeing us and waving through a window from their house.

I bought some fresh bread rolls and a BBQ chicken for our dinner. It was ok... the chicken was a bit dry. I'll reheat the rest in gravy for another meal.

I'm going to keep watching the live feed from London. Funny seeing King Charles showing the camera his own pen today after his little hissy fit over getting ink on his hands a couple of days ago...

Lets give Charles a little slack. The man just lost his mother, walked in different procession behind her coffin, travelled across England / Scotland and shook what seemed like thousands of hands, yes, he was under stress to say the least . Having a ink pen explode and to get ink all over his hand was no fun, he had every right to have a "hissy " fit.

I never said that he shouldn't have had a hissy fit. I would have done the same. He's shaking so many people's hands and to do that with blue hands would not have been cool.

It’s been a nice fall day, temperatures in the mid 60’s. I did get rained on earlier when I was at Costco. I’ve been busy, I did a Costco and Walmart run and also filled up my tank at the Safeway fuel station for $1 off per gallon. Every bit helps! I realized I haven’t put gas in my car since July 8th! I stocked up on Halloween candy at Walmart, I expect it will be really heavy trick or treat traffic this year. I was going to go to Safeway too to pick up some sale items but my sore feet said NOPE to that! I’m going to ask my next door neighbor to borrow a couple of the bigger kids to help me load my dead TV in the back of my car so I can take it to electronic waste tomorrow. Now I’m going to put my feet up and relax now that everything is put away.

I had sort of planned on cooking something tonight, but when I was getting gas I noticed there was a Firehouse Subs across the street, so I immediately changed plans! Turkey and bacon Ranch sub it is!
