September 19th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is dark, dreary and raining along with thunder and lightning with the high of 77 and the low of 61.

I have chicken in the crockpot with diced carrots, celery, onion and garlic along with some thyme and rosemary I picked. That will be served over biscuits with corn on the cob on the side.

What will be your Monday night meal?

Glorious day in the sun today... so happy that Spring has finally sprung. We needed to go out today for our final trip to Motor Registry to transfer our VW Caddy to South Australian plates. This was the last thing we needed to change... now both cars and both driving licences are South Australian.

John is feeling much better now. The iron syrup I've been pumping into him must have made the difference. He's even getting his appetite back.

Dinner tonight as chicken parma, mashed sweet potato, peas and crumbed cauliflower. Late dinner because we both watched Queen Elizabeth II funeral. Had late desserts... John had icecream and banana; I had watermelon.

I made a quick omelet this evening. Frankie, my little Bichon and plan to relax this evening. I have a book to read and may see if anything worthwhile is on TV this evening.

It’s another really pretty almost fall day. I recorded the Royal funeral and watched it later this morning. I’ve been looking online for a new bedspread, not having any luck there. I don’t like big puffy bedding and I don’t want a ton of extra exposed pillows on the bed either. I can’t be the only person who wants a simple, colorful and lightweight bedspread! I guess I’ll do some minor repairs on mine and keep using it.

I’m going to have the rest of the chicken I cooked on the rotisserie with Alabama white BBQ sauce, some brown rice and collard greens.

Charlene - I get a Catalog called Touch of Class. It is filled with bedspreads and comforters. It might be worth checking out if you've never seen the catalog before. They also have a lot of matching accessories too.

Thank you Vera! I actually found one in the online catalog that I’ll be ordering! They had what I wanted, bedspread with no pillow shams or anything else I don’t need. Thank you!
