    Good Morning!

I rained most of the day yesterday and all night into this morning. It is clearing up somewhat, but 3-4 inches of rain are predicted today with a flood watch in effect for today and tomorrow. The high will be 63 and the low of 49 with gusting winds.

Dinner will be as easy as I can make it with salmon patties baked along with sweet potatoes and broccoli making it a sheet pan meal.

What will you be eating for your dinner?

But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

Well....we survived our 2 1/2 day Kain 'watch'! OMG! He is one super busy, high energy guy, he's determined and fiesty! Did we ever get to know him thru a variety of circumstances. The first nite was very challenging - I was up with him 3 times, sometimes falling asleep shortly or crying for a bit (teething) We hardly slept a wink at all, I was on alert lol listening for any sound. Then to top it off the little booger woke up a 5:45! Lonnnng day!
Too tired to cook much today once home...dinner is frozen breaded veal cutlets, sour cream & onion noodles and peas
A balanced diet is a cookie in both hands

And the older he gets to more of a challenge it becomes as you well know. It just kind of fades into the background once they are on their own. And now you remember!!!!!

My granddaughter has a baby monitor connected to her I- phone and can see the baby anytime she wants to , in his crib / room. My daughter who was watching the baby this past weekend downloaded the app to her cell phone and was able to watch him while he was napping and could hear him move and make noises. It is amazing all the monitors that are available now to watch kids.
My older grandson was in daycare for a while and I was able to download the web site on my lap top and watch him and what he was doing and what the people who worked there were doing. Loved it. He now is 16years old and getting his drivers license. Time flies.

It’s been nice today, a bit on the warm side though and we’re getting an influx of wildfire smoke again. We need some rain! I had a productive morning, I had ordered new windshield wipers last night for pickup this morning, called and set up an appointment for oil change and general safety check to get done Wednesday afternoon, and went to Ace Hardware to get some things that have been on my list for awhile. I also stopped at Verizon to make sure that my car charge cord and battery backup for my phone are compatible with my iPhone 13, happy to find out they’re fine. My son Steve and I might be making an overnight trip to Idaho next week, should be kind of fun.

I’m going to make a small cube steak and I’ve got a couple of sweet potatoes baking right now and I’ll have one of those and some steamed yellow squash with it.
