October 5th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is a beautiful sunny morning with the high of a lovely 70 and the low of 52. Perfect weather.

Dinner will be Spanish rice with hamburger in it, salad and bread I baked yesterday.

What will be your dinner?

Grilling some boneless chicken thighs. They are soaking on lowerys red fajita seasoning and olive oil. I will toss some sweet potatoes on the grill as well. I woke up at 2 this morning and of course couldn't get back to sleep. I am ready for a nap about now though.

We had torrential rain and wind that uprooted large trees in our area during the night. The back lawn is growing at an incredible rate because of the alternated weather... one day rain, next day warm and sunny. Hopefully our gardener can fit our lawn in next week.

Dinner was easy tonight... Irish stew and mashed potato and all it needed was a few minutes in the microwave. Spending the next few days catching up on laundry and housework.

Our new house as started finally. The block has been leveled and trenches dug. Should have the concrete slab down within the next couple of weeks.

So good to hear from you Chayote. Been thinkin bout you and hoping everything was ok. So exciting things are moving along on the house is there a tentative finish date?

Feels like summer is back so in that case, its a great day to BBQ some steaks...baked taters/sour cream/chives and a caesar salad to go along

I’m so happy to see you posting Chayote! Good news on the house start!

It’s been kind of cool today, I’m almost thinking I need to put on some socks and I’ve already broken out the flannel shirts again. My son left this morning to head back to CA, it was really nice having him here. He had Mendi reaching under the door this morning wanting to cuddle with him for awhile before she came and shared my bed with Abby.

I’m going to heat up a chicken thigh and some asparagus and yellow squash for my dinner.
