November 7th Dinner Post

Good Morning!

It is a sunny morning with the high of 56 and the low of 43. I am bracing myself for the colder weather and snow that is heading our way day by day. I will still take today and the sun.

I have spent the last 2 days cleaning my cabinets and rotating my pantry. I was so surprised that I only found one can outdated and that was only by 1 month so that will be used tonight as part of dinner. No dents or bulging so it will be ok.

Speaking of dinner, a sheet pan meal of chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, peppers, garlic and corn will be ours.

What will be your dinner?

Beautiful, sunny. High mid 60s.
I'm going to take LTBs lead. Burgers, potato salad, baked beans.

Plain old fashioned crunchy Ortega tacos. I was watching the history channel and they had something about tacos. I cant remember the last time I had one since we always get the real tacos. I am sure I have some kind of rice packets so sounds good enough for me.

Hot day today and for some reason the airconditioning wouldn't turn on. I finally asked my son in law to help and he was able to talk me through disengaging the timer setting so we could get some air coming through. It was such a relief. The airconditioning unit is old and expensive to run... I'll be glad when we are in our new house.

We had our grocery delivery this afternoon. That gave us fresh bread and a packet of sausages to cook for dinner. John had two sausages with fried onion and two slices of buttered bread. I had spaghetti and some buttered french stick.

It’s been cool and cloudy today with some sprinkles. I’ve been packing clothes for the trip today and doing some tidying too. I still have laundry to do but I’ll wait until Friday to do that, and Wednesday I’ll take my car down to the Les Schwab and get my air pressure checked and put a vacation hold on my mail. One of the things I plan to do is switch to my fleece sheets the day before I go because I will be turning off the furnace while I’m gone and it’s going to feel good to jump into a warm bed while the heat gets going again. I have little “to do” notes everywhere!

I took some sausage and spinach gnocchi I made awhile back out of the freezer for dinner and I’ll have some fruit with it.

Ooooh! A cooler day here for sure...I got a fire going in the wood stove after lunch, nice and cozy in here now. I think we will be getting some snow by the end of week, and looks like more snow after that. Loved this balmy weather we have had until now...washed and hung out comforters/winter coats on line.
Dinner is chicken alfredo and and garlic buns.
