Has anyone dealt with carpal tunnel syndrome?

What worked for relief for you? I'm going thru a horrible time right now, worst of it is when I'm sleeping. I bought a brace today, so hoping that relieves a bit of the discomfort.

I had it real bad years ago in both wrists. It got to the point where it was getting real hard for me to drive. I had a hard time sleeping too.

I tried cortisone injections which only helped temporarily. I finally went to the doctor again and she sent me to be tested to see if I should get surgery. I decided to have both done at the same time so I wouldn't have to go twice. Best thing I ever did. It's been 9 years since I had it done and no problems at all since. There was 2 different surgeries they could do. They did one called BILATERAL ENDOSOPIC CARPAL TUNNEL RELEASE SURGERY.It was supposedly minimally invasive. image.png

Hayburner: wow! both hands at same time! Was this surgery done under local or general?
My hubby had both hands done about 5 years ago, not both done at same time. He was so glad to have it done.
The brace is helping somewhat, thank God, and hand not bothering me in night, and swelling in wrist seems have to gone down a bit.
