Is there any way to take a can of pumpkin puree and turn it into a pumpkin mix? I cannot find Libby's Pumpkin Mix (pie filling) in my local stores, but I have a few cans of pumpkin puree. I know I can make a pie with the puree, but I'm making a pumpkin and gingerbread trifle , which takes the mix and instant vanilla pudding. I know the spices are in the mix, but is there anything else? Can I just take the pumpkin puree, add the spices that go in the Libby's pumpkin pie and use the vanilla pudding as the milk and eggs?

I looked there first, but none of them were straight forward recipes and most of them were for baked pies. Like I said before, I need a recipe and not this...add a little of this and that. Spice amounts will be different for something that is goign to add canned milk and eggs. I was hoping someone here had actually done it.

Target has what you are looking for. Libbys pumpkin mix / pie filling. I don't know if you are close to a Target store , that also carries groceries ? I looked it up online.
Have you checked Walmart ?

I have a jar of pumpkin pie spice mix. I would just add a teaspoon at a time to get your desired strength.

Target and Walmart are a 45 minute drive from here and my local HEB and Brookshire Bros. didn't have it the last time I checked. I guess I'll wait to do the trifle until I can get to one of the stores
