December 2nd Dinner Post

Good Morning!

I sure wish this wind would blow itself over a nonpopulated area and stay there till spring. It makes it so bitter and makes the bones rattle. The high will be a 50 and the low of 35 with strong winds moving in later today and rain.

A big pot of split pea soup along with grilled cheese sandwiches and apple crisp will be dinner.

What will be your dinner this Friday night?

Leapin lizards it's SO windy and cold. I fed the cats which is a walk to the barn. Coming back is uphill ugh. So hard these days. Joe is going to feed the chickens. Thank GOD. Suppose to be up to 50 today but that doesn't happen til night. Looks like the sun is trying to break thru.
called for hair cut yesterday. Thought she'd say tomorrow but said can ya be here at 4? Knowing I wouldn't get home til 5 / 5:15 made a quickie goulash before I went. So going to give Joe that and I'm going to have what's left of the ceaser chicken sliced thin on a bun.

I scrubbed out the cabinet under my kitchen sink. It was a shocker to find all the cleaning supplies I forgot I had and kept buying. I am making mushroom cheeseburgers on the Foreman grill because I am lazy and its easy. Going to steam some broccoli with it. I made some jello with sour cherries in it for dessert. Hubs said I horde food in the pantry and I will never use it all so I have been making a point of using all the stuff.

Pretty windy here as well...I went out to store with no hat/hood or mittens as I didn't think it would be that cold, sure wished I had them as I got walking on.
I baked a bunch of cookies for a Christmas market happening tomorrow at our Legion, the made a cheese ball for a gathering we are going to at 7pm. I never eat dinner before hand as there are always so many delicious apps there, but hubby can't wait that long to eat so I will just make him some weiner wraps, he can have a few of those before we go out and graze later.

It’s been really cold and gray today, this morning we had just a little bit of snow and more is expected. The snow we got Tuesday was gone by Wednesday afternoon. I got everything unpacked and put away and I’m just finishing up with the laundry now. Abby and Mendi have been happily staying inside the house and they both sleep on the bed with me and get as close as they can. I’m really glad I kept Mendi, she is such a sweet cat.

I’m going to make Cheeseburger Pasta tonight and have some fruit with it.
