  • December 5th Dinner Post

    Good Morning!

It is sunny but there are a lot of hazy clouds that will increase as the day moves forward. The high of 48 and the low of 40 will make for a mild day without the wind seeing if it can make people airborne.

Potato and ham soup was requested along with garlic bread and baked custard.

What will be your dinner this evening?

Cloudy 32° suppose to be in mid 40s. Very light wind got gas yesterday the lady at the pump beside me was hiding behind her car as was I. We were having a melt down about the wind. It was unbelievable.
have about 1/2 chicken left so thinking I will jibble it up and make hot chicken sandwiches. Potato salad and there's green beans and corn left over. Have some crumb cake also. Then time to dig out next meal. So thankful Joe is not picky

Nice to see a bit of sunshine today
I'm going to attempt making shortbread cookies, softening up my butter near the woodstove so it will be easier for me to blend.
We have lots of mac & cheese leftover for dinner as the boys decided to make some leftover-over pizza most of their dinner. I may fry up a few breakfast sausages to go alongside.

I took the dog for a walk since it is at least sunny out. He was embarrassed having to wear a coat lol. I am making stovetop meatloaf and baked potatoes.

Yum the garlic bread post sounds good. I will make some soup this evening. Stovetop meatloaf also sounds great. When it comes time for dinner I haven’t a clue. Maybe pizza tonight.

actually it isn't...I took a muscle relaxant in the morning, no clue if it would help. I have been taking just Advil, but it doesn't touch the pain.
I had Ralph cream the butter/sugar for me, then I worked in the flour with my other hand. Ugh.

Woke up this morning to serious frost, temperature was about 30° at 9 am. I did do a big Walmart run today, waited until it warmed up to about 37° before I left. I got everything that was on my list and then stopped at Safeway because they had Silk (soy)Nog in stock and I love that stuff! It will last in the refrigerator in the garage for well over a year because it’s aseptically sealed and shelf stable. I may go back next week for more. I’m very grateful that I can pull into my garage, close the door and unload everything without being in any kind of bad weather, and I have refrigerator and freezers as well as overflow pantry space for canned goods out there.

I’ve got a Cornish hen marinating in Grill Mates smoky applewood marinade and I’m going to have some brown rice and roasted asparagus with it. What are you having for dinner tonight?

LOL Thinking of Bean's board Charlene or the other one you post on? Habit is sometimes an easy thing I know I do and not even realize it. Like the wrong day or date or just plain forget I should hit post.

I realized as soon as I hit Post Reply that I’d left the question at the end. I thought about editing it out but sometimes my post gets suspended if I edit it. Oh well, mistakes happen!

You got that right!!!!! I make so many and sometimes catch them and sometimes not. On this board, and in life. I sometimes think my brain is on vacation and did not tell me it was going!!
