I am up and running so hope you are also. I had just raised the hood on the car and an office pulled up and so nicely asked me if I needed a jump for the car, got it running and made sure I was at the auto parts store and circled back around and made sure I was home after about a 25- minute drive making sure the new battery was charged up so no more problems. No need to call my friend on stand-by that would have jumped the car.

That is the advantage of living where you know people that are kind and give help before you would even ask. He is such a nice person and has helped me a couple times before when he has seen me out and making sure I was ok.

I really hope your car is just needing a new battery and problem solved.

Our road hasn't been plowed yet so I haven't gone out the door
The good news is I don't have to go anywhere so I'm going to
let this snow melt down a bit before I can lift the hood of my car
and hook up the battery charger. Them I'm going to call around
to check out battery prices. I get my oil changed at Mr. Tire so they
will get a call and Auto Zone and maybe the Ford Dealer

Smart move, let the snow melt down or maybe even fall off for you. We are warming up here and by Thursday in the upper 40's. I still had a warranty on my battery so no charge for it and installed at no cost. Sometimes I think the Amish have the right idea on a lot of things, horses being one of them along with chickens!!!

It just dawned on me that you said Auto Zone so just a thought here. My battery was a Dura Last and I am on my 4th in 3 years. Yup, 4th. I had a warranty so that covered them at no cost but dang. They are junk and do not last worth beans. Auto Zone even said they are terrible, but it is what they sell. When this one bites the dust within a year you can bet I will be buying a different one someplace else.

Just wanted you knowing, and you can of course make your own choice on what you get.

After all is said and done my car started up and is running great
I tried using the car starter the other day (blizzard conditions)
and it didn't turn over
I was so happy when it started
