    Good Morning!

I can see blue sky in between dusky looking clouds with the high of 49 and the low of 47. That is nice but also making for a nightmare where there is several feet of snow. We did not get a lot thank goodness and what we did get blew into drifts. Most of our snow is melted and more grass than snow.

Today is my pick of the weekday for errand and grocery shopping day. I am heading out in a few and hopefully will make good time with a couple stores as I really do not like shopping at all. I grocery shop once a month and I have my list made, coupons ready, and all sale items I want marked in the flyer so I get in and out quickly.

Dinner will be whatever but have thought about using ham and asking DGS if he will make subs for dinner as he does such a nice job.

What will be your dinner this Thursday?
Heritic, rebel, a thing to flount,
He drew a circle that shut me out.
But love and I had the wit to win,
We drew a circle that took him in.

I cant decide. It will be chicken fajita stuffed sweet potatoes or chicken kiev. They both sound really good today. I am drinking a Vernors right now and it is hitting the spot!

Was sunny earlier but now gray. Very windy. While the temp is 48 it feels much colder with the wind. Have the furnace guy coming. It's short cycling. $$$
I'm going to freeze remaining ham. I've made ham salad, made a ham & swiss impossible pie with broccoli. We will finish that this eve.
I must say I am still not a fan of spiral sliced ham but at Joe's prompting I bought this one and it is beautiful. I just stink at cooking ham. I will buy it again tho @ .89 a lb it's great for other stuff.

Mostly dry today but kind of chilly, good day for finishing up the laundry. I slept kind of late this morning, evidently Abby and Mendi weren’t in any hurry to get up either. Other than a quick grocery store run and a few other tidying chores I’ve been staying in and staying warm. I picked up a shrimp cocktail ring for my traditional NYE dinner and cashed in my Mega Millions ticket and got a few more for tomorrow’s drawing. I have such an exciting life!

I’m going to finish making the Crock Pot dinner I started on Saturday. It still had some time to go before I added the mixed vegetables and Reame’s egg noodles to it, so it’s heating up now and I’ll add those shortly. I think I’ll make a package of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuits to go with it.

Today was the first day I have been out in over a week. Blizzard conditions and impassable roads
So I picked up peas to make pea soup with all the left over ham cause no one could travel here for Christmas dinner
Also picked up rye bread and had a delicious ham sandwich.

We still have our special visitors... Tiff and Immy. We are loving every minute. Yesterday we went to Adelaide Zoo to see the pandas. I took a photo but couldn't see the screen on my phone. It's taken through glass which has reflected quite a lot but still a happy memory. I'll play with the photo and remove all the scratches and glare. It was the first time Immy had ever seen a real panda. The female was off display as she is hopefully pregnant after IVF treatment.

We had dinner at our local pub after the zoo. John had pork schnitzel with vegetables, I had pork schnitzel with salad, Tiff had chicken schnitzel with salad and Immy had grilled fish, broccoli (her favourite) and chips.

Wow that is cool Chayote when we lived in Memphis we were close to the zoo. We could here the lions roar. I loved going there but don't remember a panda. I was in the monkey house most of the time. They fascinate me
So glad you're getting to spend time with Tiff and Immy. If you have a pic of Tiff, Immy, you and John that would be awesome to see.

It will only be of Immy and I'll see what I can do. They are going home tomorrow...
