    Good Morning!

Man was if foggy this morning. Thick as pea soup. The high will be 52 and the low of 50 with spotty rain.

I got called in the middle of the night as neighbor has had another relapse and is in the hospital again. It is not as bad this time so hopefully she will not be there long. She was so hoping she would be home for the holidays as she has done really good lately and she was. I went over and was there when the kids woke up, fed, got them started on their day and did a food check. I started what we call the "food and care" chain care for the kids and meals are in place. I shopped in my freezer and took some frozen items back over and I am sure I will take a nap later.

I made extra pork chops so dinner will be an easy heat and eat meal tonight.

What will you be eating tonight?

      mellon,

There are several of us, but I am the only one with no small children and live the closest. The family is the nicest even with all the trials they have had, and the children are so well behaved and loving helping with the food and have the job chart so know what is expected. We all adore them, and the husband is on point with the kids, his wife and holding it together. Just a wonderful family.

Have a wonderful time with your friend and enjoy your dinner and your football game.

It is so awesome seeing you post and chatting with you. Have a great day!!!!!

Our groceries finally arrived... better late than never. It just meant that we had dinner at 9.30pm. We both had the same meal for a change: baked potato with onion, crumbed pork steak and coleslaw. We had very late supper/dessert: John had icecream and sliced banana; I had some new small donut balls with jam filling that I found in Aldi. They were frozen and just get heated in the airfryer. They are very yum!

LTB thats great to have neighbors you can count on and ones that can count on you.

I bought some chicken thighs that I was going to make stock from because hubs doesnt really like them, but he asked for chicken tonight so win win. I actually deboned them which was so stupid easy I cant believe I have been buying them boneless skinless. I left the skins on so I am going to make them nice and crispy and cover with buffalo sauce. Sweet potato nachos and celery and ranch and it will feel a little healthy.

It is isn't it muz. When the police officer stopped and helped jump my car, I was so very grateful. I have mailed a gift card from the Amish bakery I love for him at the station, and he can wonder who did it.

The smallest kindness can mean the most at times.

It’s been a pretty day today, although there was a lot of frost this morning. I watched the Rose Parade this morning, it seemed a lot shorter than it usually is though. It definitely did not make me want to run back to CA though! I did a bunch of vacuum sealing of meat and casserole leftovers and got them frozen and updated my lists of what’s in the freezer. I did another 1000 reps on my little elliptical, it does seem to help my legs feel better. Last night was the first time in a long time that my ankles weren’t killing me when I went to bed. I’m definitely going to keep it up!

I’m going to have more of the chicken and noodle casserole tonight and have a couple of Mandarins with it. I froze the rest of it last week and vacuum sealed it today.
